David Mays
Whiskey Professor
Before you know it, he's spouting off a drink recommendation. He's excited like Christmas morning. He knows you're going to like it. He's not going to lead you astray. He's David Mays.
David has a nose for likes and dislikes, developed through years of making wine and spirit recommendations to customers while in the restaurant industry. He wasn't choosing stuff on a whim all those years, but tapping into a deep wealth of knowledge, having developed an award-winning wine cellar, as well as some rather innovative specialty cocktails.
So what does he know about bourbon? Hmmm. Well, a lot. After reading all the bourbon wisdom he could get his hands on - let's just say he got his hands on quite a bit - he headed down to Kentucky for a little hands-on training. With Fred Noe, son of the legendary Booker Noe, and Master Distiller Jerry Dalton as his mentors, he absorbed as much knowledge as possible - and maybe a bit of bourbon.
When not talking about sharing bourbon with someone, David can be found enjoying bourbon. One day he plans on adding something else to his passions, but bourbon has a lot of depth to cover first.
