Sam Komlenic Sam grew up in the shadows of the great rye whiskey distilleries of western Pennsylvania's Monongahela River valley, home to the Whiskey Rebellion of 1791. He is currently researching the distilling history of Pennsylvania, with a particular interest in the S. Dillinger & Sons distillery, still standing in his hometown of Ruffs Dale. He now lives in the wilds of central Pa., conveniently located midway between that state's two craft rye distillers.
